Tigers Class Blog

It has been excellent this term to watch Tigers settle so comfortably into their new class and wonderful getting to know each other. Children have enjoyed so many aspects of their learning this term around the theme of Ancient Egypt and it is clear that children are enjoying their learning as they have contributed many brilliant homework projects for our theme. Listening to the children learning to play the clarinet every week has been remarkable, they have all come such a long way in such a short period, which is incredible. It has also been amazing to see how confidently Tigers have tackled various art projects this term, including silhouette landscape paintings of Egypt and preparing messages using hieroglyphics. Wonderful stuff!

Tigers have had an amazing start to the academic year, learning so much about Ancient Egypt across the curriculum. On top of this children learned to play clarinets and performed a fabulous concert at the end of last term. This term, children will take on China. Building on skills already learned children will learn to write biographies, balanced arguments, extended narratives and poetry. In Maths, whilst consolidating Multiplication and Division work, children will tackle Area, Length and Perimeter, Fractions and Decimals. We have got so much to look forward to this term, including Chinese workshops focusing on Dance and Art. Can't wait...
